Founded in 1761 in the town of Stein, near Nuremberg, Germany, by craftsman Kaspar Faber, the company began as a small workshop producing handmade pencils before expanding to become one of the first enterprises specializing in industrial writing instruments. As generations succeeded one another, the family maintained its commitment to craftsmanship and quality, making the company one of the most renowned names in Europe during the 19th century.

In the 20th century, the company evolved into an international group producing pencils, artistic tools, and pens. Today, it stands as one of the oldest family-owned companies in the world, operating in more than 120 countries worldwide.
