A poetic interpretation of the Cosmos
The Raketa Copernicus, with its dial and hands designed as planets revolving around the Sun, pays tribute to the great scientist while at the same time offering a poetic interpretation of the Cosmos. The dial is made of aventurine, a stone that looks like a starry sky, while the Sun is represented in the centre with a circle of agate stone.
This model brings us back to the origins of time reading by looking at the celestial bodies, as our ancestors did. To read the time, you will need to watch the planet-shaped hands move and identify their position relative to the Sun and to each other, enjoying this incredible cosmic dance against myriads of sparkling stars in the background.
The back of the watch reveals the beautifully decorated automatic movement which is entirely produced by the Raketa Watch Factory in Saint-Petersburg.
