Kubo, from the Japanese for a hollow, is built around a recessed small seconds between 4 and 5 o'clock with no printed seconds track, set below brushed applied Arabic numerals. The Sakura has a pale pink lacquer dial inspired by cherry blossoms, with a sakura motif hidden inside the small seconds recess that appears only at certain angles. A 37mm steel case, 10.7mm thick with its domed sapphire, houses the Miyota 82S5 automatic.
