Kubo, from the Japanese for a hollow, is built around a recessed small seconds between 4 and 5 o'clock with no printed seconds track, set below brushed applied Arabic numerals. The Tetsukon has a navy lacquer dial in the traditional tetsukon iron-blue that turns from near-black to bright blue with the light, and lume accents at every hour. A 37mm steel case, 10.7mm thick with its domed sapphire, houses the Miyota 82S5 automatic.
