Projekt 02 - Variant B

Kollokium Projekt 02 Variant B is an experimental watch that continues the brand’s design exploration. It keeps the same architecture as Projekt 02 but introduces a new aesthetic with a dramatic grey-to-black gradient dial inspired by topographical maps and classic sneaker colorways.

The dial is highly complex, made from 67 individual plates arranged across 9 layers, each hand-painted with lacquer mixed with Super-LumiNova. The upper layers (representing hour markers) are painted light grey, while each lower layer gradually becomes darker, creating a deep vertical gradient effect and emphasizing the dial’s three-dimensional structure.

Despite the watch’s industrial look, it involves extensive manual craftsmanship. Each plate is carefully painted, stacked, and pegged together, taking about six hours to assemble one dial, and any bending can require restarting the entire process. Because the work is handmade, small variations occur, making every dial unique.

The watch features a die-cast 316L stainless steel case, a method rarely used in watchmaking. This process allows complex shapes and produces a raw matte texture without additional finishing. The case is designed as a single integrated unit with no visible bezel or caseback, curved surfaces, and integrated lugs for comfortable wear. Branding is minimal, with only the project code K,P–n°02 on the side and a triangular crown.
