MINASE's origins lie in a single stepped drill. This specialized drill for watch processing was created by Kyowa Seiko, the cutting tool manufacturer that is MINASE's parent company. Its precise and accurate technology successfully overcame the challenges posed by manufacturers, marking the company's first steps as a case manufacturer. Starting with tool manufacturing, the business gradually expanded to cases, bracelets, and finished products, and in 2005, MINASE finally began making the ideal watch it envisioned. The contrast between sharp edges and a clear, shining mirror surface.
The delicate touch that can only be achieved by an artisan's handiwork. Durability that will be loved forever. We are relentlessly pursuing a watch that will set a new standard.

"Uruga 31": Beautiful contrast creates sophisticated elegance
Characterized by the contrast between sharp edges and soft curves, Uruga is a high-quality watch that harmonizes Minase's boldness and delicacy. The four bezel parts, with their delicate cuts that radiate light, are reminiscent of jewel settings, and together with the gently curved glass, they create a modern and sophisticated impression. The dial pattern, inspired by the quiet flow of the Minase River, creates a beautiful horizontal gradation, exuding an elegant yet sophisticated sophistication.
MORE Structure that enables permanent maintenance
We aim to create watches that will still be talked about 100 years from now. Our philosophy is embodied in the "MORE Structure*." Inspired by the traditional Japanese craft of kumiki (Japanese joinery), the structure allows all parts to be disassembled. Since each part can be replaced individually, it can be used for many years and the burden of maintenance is reduced. *Minase Original Rebuilding Equation (MINASE's unique regeneration method) is an acronym. Currently, MINASE holds one patent for a wristwatch (Patent No. 4671327) and one patent for a watch band (Patent No. 4674698).
Zaratsu Polishing is synonymous with MINASE, one of Japan's leading technologies
"Zaratsu polishing" is the processing technique in which MINASE excels. This is the base treatment applied before finishing the case, and although it has an unusual name, it comes from a vintage Swiss processing machine. Normally, watch cases are completed by forging, cutting, and then polishing with a buff, but by applying Zaratsu polishing as a base treatment before polishing, distortion in the polished surface is reduced, allowing for a clear, beautiful mirror finish. Please come and experience MINASE's "finishing" for yourself.
MINASE's unique clamping case structure
The clamping case structure sandwiches the glass between the bezel and the case and tightens it from below, achieving waterproofing. The Uruga uses four parts to clamp the bezel, glass, and case from above and below, reminiscent of claw settings on jewelry.
